Signs your bath needs resurfacing
Not sure whether to resurface? These are the tell-tale signs a bath is ready for refinishing rather than replacement.

The common signs
- The surface has lost its shine and looks dull or cloudy
- Stains that won't clean off, or yellowing
- The bath feels rough or gritty to the touch
- Visible chips exposing dark metal or white acrylic
- Hairline cracks or crazing
- A dated colour — avocado, pampas, primrose or blue
If the bath is structurally sound, all of these are fixed by resurfacing — in place, in hours, no tiling or plumbing. Send a photo to 07833 053749 for a quote.
Common questions
What causes a bath to chip?
Most chips come from a dropped object — a shampoo bottle, tap fitting or tool — hitting the surface, or from wear at the taps and drain. On enamel baths the chip goes dark because you're seeing the metal beneath; on acrylic it shows as a white or cracked mark.
Why has my bath gone yellow or dull?
Older enamel and acrylic surfaces lose their glaze over time, and harsh or abrasive cleaners speed it up, leaving the bath dull, stained or yellowed. Resurfacing restores a bright, smooth finish without replacing the bath.
